We all have endings and beginnings throughout our lives.  Early childhood ends, adolescence begins, and suddenly we are striving for independence and autonomy, even though our immature brains are not really ready for the new responsibilities.  High school ends, and post-secondary pursuits begin.

Small works are the opposite of what you normally see in a public art gallery, where canvases can be six by six feet in dimension. 

Gesture drawings are done very quickly, usually less than two minutes, without lifting your pen or pencil from the paper.
